The Overgrowth
Act 1aA lush, tangled ruin overgrown with mystical woodland creatures and sentient flora. Beautiful but deadly - the plants might eat you alive.
The Underdocks
Act 1bA miry waterway connected to the Spire's sewer system. Home to mutant sea creatures and desperate vagrants.

Nibbit
NEWA feisty little monster you'll see often in the Spire. A blue-ish green wiggly lizard creature with an energetic demeanor.
Revealed in February 2025 Spire Spotting. Common enemy type. Four-legged with wiggly animation.
Punch Construct
NEWAn automaton designed for punching, featuring a helmet with a blue orb of light beneath it. Stands in an old-fashioned boxing stance with visible wiring.
Revealed in November 2025 Spire Spotting. Boxing stance suggests melee-focused attacks.
The Obscura
NEWA mysterious blue creature covered in pearl-like nodules with folded limbs and a long neck. Rays emit from its head, appearing to interfere with reality itself.
Revealed in December 2025 Spire Spotting. Described as distorting reality and interfering with detection equipment. Giraffe-like appearance.
Hay Stack
NEWEither a sentient stack of hay or a very convincing costume. A small, round haystack-like creature that bounces and wields farm tool weapons.
Revealed in October 2025 Spire Spotting. Working name - may change. Bouncing animation suggests erratic movement patterns.
Two-Tailed Rat
NEWA bipedal rat standing on two legs with two flickering tails and a chattering mouth. Mutated by the sewer environment.
Revealed in January 2026 Spire Spotting. Appears in groups. Tails suggest possible status effect attacks.
Terror Eel
NEWA toothy, eel-like creature covered in wiggly little eyeballs from the depths of the Underdocks.
Revealed in September 2025 Spire Spotting. Exclusive to the Underdocks alternate Act 1 path. Multiple eyes may indicate special detection abilities.
Spiny Toad
NEWA large, spiny toad-like creature covered in defensive spines that likely reflect damage.
Revealed in April 2025 Spire Spotting. Overgrowth variant enemy. Likely has thorns-style damage reflection.
Kelp
NEWA green seaweedy ball of spite with wiggling vine-like tendrils and a large gaping mouth as its only facial feature. Internally referred to as 'seapunk' by the developers.
Revealed in June 2025 Spire Spotting. Underdocks aquatic enemy with aggressive tendril attacks.
Mushroom Cluster
NEWA cluster of aggressive fungi that may spawn additional mushrooms during combat.
Seen in Cleave card artwork. Overgrowth thematic enemy.
Fungi Beast
NEWA creature with flora and fungi sprouting from its body, corrupted by the Overgrowth's plant life.
Overgrowth thematic - represents corruption by plant life.
Sewer Vagrant
NEWA desperate soul dwelling in the Underdocks sewers. Humanoid enemy scraping by in the murky depths.
Humanoid enemy type in the Underdocks. One of many vagrants that might emerge from the sewers.
Chomper
NEWA jittery, bug-like automaton creature whose moveset relies on chomping. Resembles another beloved character in the Spire universe (identity redacted by developers).
Revealed in May 2025 Spire Spotting. Working name. Community noticed similarity to existing Spire character.
Vine Shambler
NEWA creature of tangled vines and plant matter that shambles toward adventurers. Made entirely of twisted vegetation.
Revealed in August 2025 Neowsletter. Overgrowth thematic enemy.
Flyconid
NEWA floating mushroom creature with multiple yellow-orange caps sprouting from a green body. Hovers above the ground with small tendrils.
Seen in February 2026 gameplay footage. Fungi-themed Overgrowth enemy. 52 HP observed.
Doomed Knight
NEWAn armored knight afflicted with the Doom status effect. Seen turning grayscale and being sucked into the ground with purple fumes.
Featured in Doom mechanic demonstration. Demonstrates the Doom instant-kill effect when Doom stacks equal or exceed HP.
Slug
NEWA slug-like creature seen in early gameplay footage with the Necrobinder character.
Briefly shown in Necrobinder gameplay. Basic enemy type.

Flail Knight
ELITEA metal armored knight wielding two deadly spiked flails. Heavy armor and devastating attacks.
Revealed in July 2025 Spire Spotting. Act 1 Elite. The newsletter teased 'I wonder what happens to you when you're inflicted with its flailing.'
Mutant Crab
ELITEAn oversized crab mutated by the toxic sewer waters. Elite encounter with powerful pincers.
Underdocks Elite. Likely has high armor or pincer attacks.
Hunter Killer
ELITEA fearsome red crystalline dragon with sharp claws and glowing green venom. Four-legged beast with armored scales.
Elite encounter. Dragon-type enemy with possible poison mechanics. 121 HP observed.
Automaton
ELITEA large golden mechanical construct with a glowing green core. Wielding weapons and heavily armored.
High HP elite/boss. Mechanical theme suggests artifact or armor mechanics. 250 HP observed.

Barnacle Boss
BOSSA massive barnacle-encrusted sea creature lurking in the depths of the Underdocks. Boss encounter for the alternate Act 1 path.
Alternate Act 1 boss. May have armor or regeneration mechanics.
Overgrown Guardian
BOSSA nature-themed boss covered in vines and plant growth that has become one with the Overgrowth.
Standard Act 1 boss path. Plant/nature aesthetic.
Antlered Beast
BOSSA majestic but deadly creature with large jewel-adorned antlers. Icy white coloration with high HP.
One of the revealed Act 1 bosses. Appears regal and powerful.
Soul Nexus
BOSSA massive eyeball creature with a red iris surrounded by swirling purple tentacles. Floats ominously in a dark void.
Boss encounter. 192-199 HP observed. Eye-based horror theme. May be related to soul/death mechanics.
